Prospective Members

Are you a first year law student at The George Washington University Law School interested in joining the Federal Circuit Bar Journal?

New members are chosen through a highly selective process that takes into consideration:

  • Your first year grades including your Legal Research and Writing grades from both semesters
  • Your score on the school-wide writing competition in the Spring of your 1L year
  • Your ranking of the Journal. Please note that we will not consider any competitors who have given the FCBJ a ranking of 5 or lower
  • Interest in the Journal’s subject matter

In addition, we will admit a select number of transfer students each year depending on the class size.

All evaluations of competitor materials and applications are done anonymously.
